From the Desk

Besides just being fun, sports teach life lessons. It goes well beyond the concept of it as a way to remain healthy and in shape; it helps build a wide array of abilities that include teamwork, self-confidence, leadership, accountability, strategic thinking and action, and many others leading to the making of a complete individual. It is an excellent stress buster and creates an environment conducive to effective learning which is so important for a student. I urge the youth to partake in sports; there is so much to win in so many attributes of student life.

Prof. Souvik Bhattacharyya

Former Vice Chancellor, BITS Pilani

Beating the system in just one territory is never enough to substantiate you as a leader. Sports is an imperative plug-in while weaving the fabric of an impeccable life in this infinite-dimensional world. It doesn’t only keep your bag of bones in place but braces you for getting a handle on the hardships of life as well. One must have the spirit for concurring in such tournaments and should employ every nerve to action for reaping all the perks it has to offer.

Prof. Sudhir Kumar Barai

Director, BITS Pilani
