About the Council

The Sports Council is a 5 membered council consisting of the Sports Secretary and three Joint Sport Secretaries and one ex-officio member. The Sports Secretary is elected by the captains of all the sports teams and the Joint Sports Secretaries are chosen by the members of the previous CoSSAc body through a series of interviews. The Sports Council, on completion of their term, nominates a member to be the ex-officio member to the next Sports Council.

The Sports Council oversees all sporting activities that take place on campus and strive towards improving the sports culture on campus. The Sports Union and the Union Council is headed by the Sports Council.

The Sports Council is also a part of the CoSSAc body, the organizing body of BITS Pilani’s sports fest, BOSM.
